Washington now in last place in NFC East

The Washington Football Team may not have had a game this weekend, but it still managed to lose in a way.

Due to a New York Giants victory, Washington fell to last place in the NFC East with a 2-6 record. The Giants are now 3-6 on the year after beating the Las Vegas Raiders in a 23-16 upset.

Also ahead of Washington are the Dallas Cowboys (6-2) and the Philadelphia Eagles (3-6).

If there was any silver lining for Washington, it was that the Cowboys lost to the Denver Broncos. The Cowboys offense mustered a season-low 290 yards in the surprising 30-16 defeat.

Still, Dallas is four games ahead of Washington in the division â€" and the Burgundy and Gold have to pull off some major upsets to have any shot of catching the Cowboys.

Washington opened as 9-point underdogs to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this upcoming weekend’s opponent.

The only other NFC team with a worse record than Washington is the winless Detroit Lions (0-8).
