Horwich ALDI closed after attempted ram raid for cash machine
A supermarket is set to stay closed until Saturday after a van was used to try and pull a cash machine from a wall.
ALDI in Mason Street, Horwich, has been closed since Tuesday (October 5) with a sign outside the shop saying: "Store closed until Saturday due to unforeseen circumstances. Sorry for any inconvenience."
ALDI confirmed to The Bolton News that the store would be closed until Saturday but could not comment on why.
Police have now confirmed that there was an attempted burglary at the store late on Monday (October 4) night, which has led to the store closing.
