An investigation is underway following a serious collision on the M60

FOUR men have been taken to hospital, some suffering possible life-changing injuries after the car they were in crashed into barrier on a motorway slip road in the early hours of today.

Emergency services were called just after 2.30am to the crash on the slip road between the M60 and the A666 Bolton.

The collision happened as a Seat Ateca had been existing the M60 at junction 15 when it hit the crash barrier.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Four men, aged between 25 and 58, were taken to hospital where they remain.

"Three of the men have sustained serious and potentially life changing injuries.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or seen the Ateca in the area at the time to come forward and assist police with their investigation.

"Anyone with information, particularly those with dash-cam footage, are encouraged to contact police on 0161 856 4741 or 101 quoting incident 454 of 22/08/21.
