Motorist fined more than 3k for repeated offences
MAGISTRATES have fined a driver more than £3,000 and banned him from the roads for two years after he committed a series of motoring offences.
Wigan magistrates heard how Marek Kotlar, aged 23, of Alston Street, Bolton, was caught driving a Seat Ibiza in Trinity Street, Bolton, on January 31 without a licence, insurance or MoT certificate.
The vehicle had two illegal tyres and was made subject to a prohibition notice but just nine days later Kotlar was caught driving it again on Settle Street, Bolton.
And on April 24, Kotlar was behind the wheel again, this time in a Renault Megane on Manchester Road, Bolton. The case against him was proved in his absence and he was fined a total of £3,080 plus £431 in costs and charges.
